Caribbean Cooking Experience | Basseterre, St. Kitts
Watch an enthralling Caribbean cooking demonstration at the historical Fairview Great House while a local chef entertains you with tales about the history of the island’s regional dishes. Once the residence of a French military commander, the restored house has a storied 300-year-old history and offers an inspired setting for this culinary experience. The chef will demonstrate how to prepare several of the most popular regional dishes, such as jerk pork loin, creole fish in a tomato broth, green banana escovitch and coconut bread pudding. Afterwards, enjoy a tasting and receive easy-to-follow recipes of how to prepare them at home.
 

Culinary Discovery Tour: Spices Cooking Studio | Castries, St. Lucia
Discover the subtleties of authentic St. Lucian cuisine during a hands-on cooking class using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Accompanied by your Oceania Cruises Culinary Center chef, visit the famous open-air Castries Market where many local and seasonal ingredients can be found. As you learn how to prepare several traditional dishes, perhaps including the national dish of green fig and saltfish salad, gain insight on the cuisine’s Creole, French and West Indies influences. Savor your lunch alfresco with beautiful views of the sea.


Kr’kchi Chocolate & Culture | Harvest Caye, Belize
Learn how the Ke'kchi hand-craft chocolate the traditional way from pod to bar at the Akte'il Ha Cacao Farm. Enjoy a tour of the organic chocolate farm and experience the chocolate-making process from start to finish. Observe the hand grinding of the cacao beans and taste the chocolate in its various forms. You will then head to the Big Falls Outpost for a delicious Belizean lunch. Crown the experience with a visit to the Living Ke'kchi Maya Experience, which offers a fascinating glimpse into a rapidly disappearing world of the traditional Ke'kchi Mayan at an authentic village home.
